Mission Statement of the school

St. Mary’s Church of England School aims to provide a high quality, broad and balanced education, enabling all our children to achieve their full, individual and unique potential, within a distinctive Christian ethos and according to the requirements of the National Curriculum.

We acknowledge the importance of the partnership between school, home and the three local churches, St. Mary’s, St. George’s and St. Paul’s. Mental and physical growth are accompanied with social and spiritual development which are expressed in the caring relationships experienced throughout the school.

We hope that the open educational environment of our school, shaped daily by its Christian foundation, will provide all our children with a sense of personal worth and respect of our neighbours so that they may contribute fully and with confidence to the life of the wider community.

We aim to enable all our children to encounter a living faith in God through every activity in our school, which will sustain them throughout their lives.
